The Problem: Too Many Apps, Too Little Time
Traveling to a new country is exciting — but it’s also full of small frictions. You land in a new place and suddenly need to know:
What’s the exchange rate?
How much should I tip here?
What’s the local emergency number?
How do I say “thank you” or “help” in the local language?
Most travelers end up juggling screenshots, switching between apps, Googling on the go, or saving info in random Notes. It’s chaotic, distracting, and often slow — especially when you need the info right now.
The Idea Behind Travel Wally
We are building Travel Wally to fix this.
Travel Wally is a web app that generates a custom phone wallpaper based on your travel destination. You enter where you’re going and your local currency, and the app creates a beautiful, travel-themed wallpaper with:
✅ Live currency conversion from your home currency
✅ Local emergency phone numbers
✅ Tipping guide for that country
✅ Six essential phrases in the local language
All of this — beautifully designed and always visible on your lock screen. No apps to open. No frantic searching. Just what you need, when you need it.
Why a Wallpaper?
Because it’s the one thing you check dozens of times per day. It’s always with you, always accessible — even offline.
Think of it as a digital travel cheat sheet that’s stylish and functional. A lightweight travel companion that makes every trip smoother.
